Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Wednesday’s trading session in green, as the main index MSM30 went up by 0.1%, gaining 5.56 points, and closed at the level of 5,801.27 points.
The benchmark index rose on the back of the industry and financial sectors indices.
The industry sector added 0.34%, as Oman Textile led the session’s gainers and surged 10%, while Oman Fisheries grew 2.81%, despite that Al Jazeera Steel was the top loser and dropped 2.39%.
Similarly, the financial sector edged up 0.09%, as Al Anwar Holdings, and Bank Muscat rose 1.46%, and 1.29% respectively.
On the other hand, the services sector index, was today’s only decliner, slipping 0.03% as Phoenix Power, and Al Suwadi Power lost 0.69%, and 0.51%.
Traded volumes decreased to 11.48 million shares down from 13.34 million shares yesterday, while traded values declined to OMR 2.42 million compared to OMR 4.01 million on Tuesday.
