Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed 0.11% or 6.23 points down reaching 5,544.46 points on Monday, pressured by the drop of services and industry sectors.
The services sector lost 0.54% as Phoenix Power and Al Suwadi Power shed 2.9%, and 2.17%, respectively.
The industry sector tumbled 0.49% after Construction Material Industry and Galfar Engineering and Contracting went down 3.2%, and 2.38%, respectively.
On the other hand, the financial sector gained 0.06% led by Financial Services with 6.15%, followed by Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding with 3.5%.
Traded volume dropped to 13.2 million shares on Monday against 38.27 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity decreased to OMR 2.56 million against OMR 11.25 million in the previous session.
