Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) stabilised on Tuesday, gaining 0.01 points to reach 4,981.58 points.
Shariah index declined 0.23% to 814.09 points.
Trading volume rose 13.25% to 12.95 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 11.43 million shares on Monday. Meanwhile, turnover declined 10.61% to OMR 2.88 million from OMR 3.22 million.
The financial sector advanced 0.95%, while the services and industrial sectors retreated 0.57% and 0.10%.
Gulf General Investment Co topped risers after gaining 9.46%, while Al Jazeira Services declined 6.67%.
Omantel was the value leader after generating OMR 536,300, while Anwar Holding was the most active company after trading 1.86 million shares.
