Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Wednesday’s trading session at 5,623.56, gaining 0.15 points.
The index ended on a stable note due to the varying performance of its leading stocks as Al Anwar Ceramics rose 3.09%, Bank Muscat went up 1.99%, and Oman International Development and Investment Company levelled up 1.62%, whereas Galfar Engineering slid 3.45%, and Ooredoo decreased 2.55%.
The financial sector gained 0.2% as Al Anwar Holdings grew 0.93%.
On the other hand, the industry sector weighed down 0.38%, after Oman Fisheries and National Aluminum Products retreated 5.49% and 2.29%, respectively.
Al Hassan Engineering’s 3.92% increase trimmed the sector’s losses.
The services sector shed 0.23%, weighed by Ooredoo’s 2.55% decline and Omantel’s 1.44% loss.
Wednesday’s traded volume dropped to 23.73 million shares from 24.9 million shares on Tuesday, while traded value reached OMR 4.52 million against OMR 4.39 million the day before.
