Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Sunday’s session in the positive territory, backed by the financial sector, while the services and industry sectors went down.
The bourse’s main index gained 0.14%, or7.6 points to reach level of 5,365.2 points.
MSM30 lost 37.80 points or 0.70% on Thursday to reach level 5,357.65 points.
The Sharia Index rose at today’s close by 0.32% to 832 points, winning 2.6 points.
Turnover declined to OMR2.480 million ($6.419 million), from OMR3.67 million ($9.497 million) by the end of Thursday's session.
A total of 12.9 million shares were traded in 696 transactions, compared to 20.65 million shares exchanged in 1118 transactions during the previous session.
The financial sector increased by 0.42%, while industry and services sectors declined by 0.45% and 0.09% respectively.
In today's session, shares of 11 companies rose, 7 fell, and 26 settled at the same previous closing levels.
Al Sharqiya Investment topped risers today with a gain of 4% , whereas Julphar led fallers with a plunge of 8.7%.
Renaissance Services was the most active across the board, with a liquidity reaching OMR444,600 and traded volume of 3.19 million shares. It closed with a decline to OMR0.139.
