Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of industry upgrade and enhancement of local industrial skills with Siemens Egypt.
This MoU aims to provide industrial zones in Egypt with developed technology, innovated products, and designed systems and solutions, according to a statement by the MTI.
These industrial zones are Roubiki Leather City, Damietta Furniture City, a plastics city in Margham, and the Golden Triangle Project in Southern Egypt, the MTI said.
This deal is deemed as an arrangement for Siemens to be a technological partner for the MTI in the field of technological solutions, preparing the country for a fourth industrial revolution, Egyptian minister of trade Tarek Kabil added in a statement.
The minister noted that this MoU aims to raise the efficiency of technical training centres, establish new centres in the industrial zones, and provide advanced solutions for these zones’ management.
