Ma’aden considers SAR37 new investments

Riyadh – Mubasher: The CEO of Saudi Arabian Mining (Ma’aden) said that his company considers establishing two projects worth SAR 37 billion in aluminium and phosphate production projects.

Khalid bin Saleh Al Mudaifer added in an interview with CNBC Arabia that the SAR 24 billion phosphate project and the SAR 13 billion aluminium project, will help add $6 billion to the Saudi gross domestic product (GDP), as well as creating 14,000 direct and non-direct jobs.

Ma’aden reported a 41.85% rise in profits for the first quarter of 2017 to SAR 275.61 million compared to SAR 194.3 million in Q1-16.
