Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announced the beginning of commercial production of the ammonia plant of its subsidiary Maaden Waad Al Shamal Phosphate Company (MWSPC).
The ammonia plant will have an annual production capacity of 1.1 million tons, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.
The financial impact of the commercial production will appear in the company's first quarter results.
Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden), Mosaic Company and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) own 60%, 25% and 15%, respectively, of the joint venture developing the Waad Al Shamal Phosphate project.
