Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s finance minister Mohamed Maait has been named the best finance minister in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for 2019, according to GlobalMarkets.
Egypt has managed to slash public debt to gross domestic product (GDP) ratio under the country’s economic reform programme, which led to upgrading Egypt's sovereign credit rating by Moody's and Fitch credit rating agencies, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
This award will be given on the sideline of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)-World Bank Group meeting on 19 October in Washington.
