Mubasher: Made in Qatar 2018 exhibition (MIQ) opened on Monday, 3 December in Muscat.
Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al Kuwari and the president of General Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development in Oman Yahia bin Saeed al Jabri inaugurated the four-day event ending on 6 December.
Spread over an area of 10,000 square metres, the event took place at the Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre with the participation of 240 manufacturing local companies.
The exhibition will offer mega investment opportunities for manufacturers, businessmen and investors to discover the locally-manufactured products and demands of the Qatari market.
The first edition of the Made in Qatar exhibition was launched in 2009 and so far there have been six rounds.
The exhibition also aims to promote the industry and Qatari products, both locally and globally, encourage the use of Qatari products and reduce dependence on imports, encourage investors and entrepreneurs to invest in industrial projects,
It also targets supporting the state’s approach to public-private partnerships, along with opening up new foreign markets to Qatari companies.
