Maersk restores online systems after cyber-attack

Mubasher: AP Moller Maersk has announced that it has restored its applications and IT systems, which were recently hit by a cyber-attack.

"Today, we can finally reopen our key applications," the Danish shipping company said in a statement on Monday.

Last week, the company said that it "unfortunately" will not be able to accept any new delivery orders or receive bookings in the future, noting that it was looking forward to resuming work with its customers as soon as possible.

The company said that the global cyber-attack Petya had affected multiple businesses, after a ransomware targeted Maersk, as well as giant Russian oil company Rosneft.
