Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed a bearish performance on Tuesday, falling to the lowest level in 14 sessions amid a drop in most leading sectors.
The main gauge went down 2.36% or 99.43 points to reach 4,110.26 points; the lowest level since mid-November.
Turnover rose 37% to AED 341.143 million ($93 million) on Tuesday from AED 249.7 million ($68 million) on Monday. Similarly, trading volume increased to 103.103 million shares from 73.13 million shares.
The energy sector topped losers after falling 5.32% as Dana Gas and TAQA slumped 8.51% and 4.44%.
The banks sector levelled down 3.36% due to a decline in Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, First Gulf and National Bank of Abu Dhabi by 7.97%, 2.90% and 2.55%, respectively.
The real estate sector slid 2.78% as Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties contracted by 4.08% and 2.55% in a row.
The telecom sector retreated 0.31% after Etisalat decreased 0.31%.
The insurance sector was the only gainer as Al Khazna Insurance Company added 9.38%.
