Cairo – Mubasher: Majid Al Futtaim Retail, the owner of Carrefour franchise, intends to increase its investment in Egypt, according to a recent statement by the investment and international cooperation ministry.
The Egyptian General Authority for Investment will coordinate between different governances, mainly in Upper Egypt, to offer Al Futtaim the land plots suitable for the targeted investments.
The CEO of the Authority for Investment, Muhammad Khodair, discussed with Al Futtaim’s representatives the possibility of opening specialised vocational schools in the fields assisting in the retail business in Egypt, as well as training the employees to serve Al Futtaim’s branches outside Egypt.
