Marjan Island to implement 8 tourist projects

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE-based Marjan Island Resort and Spa plans to establish large eight tourist projects to serve the tourist sector, said Abdullah Al Abdooli the managing director.

The eight projects are part of 14 megaprojects, Al Abdooli added, noting that the island attracts domestic and international investors.

The island covers an area of 2.7 million square metres and 61% of the current investments are for local investors.

The island comprises 1,500 hotel rooms distributed on three hotels.

There are two buildings under construction which include 2,000 residential rooms, 900 residential units, and 400 hotel rooms that will be completed before the end of 2018.

The island aims to set up 8,000 hotel rooms, 12,000 residential units, and 600 villas by 2025.
