Mubasher: Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz) registered an increase of 24.7% in profits during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the corresponding period a year ago.
Earnings grew to KWD 904,000 ($3 million) in Q2-18 from KWD 725,000 ($2.4 million) in Q2-17, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
During the first six months of 2018, Markaz posted a decline of 10.3% in profits to KWD 2.62 million compared to KWD 2.92 million in the first half of 2017.
Markaz clarified that the drop in H1 profits is attributed to an incline in total operating expenses.
