Markets likely to rise as Turkey regains stability – Analysts

By: Mahmoud Gamal

Mubasher: GCC and global stock markets are expected to see positive performance during the week, after Turkey regained its stability following a coup attempt.

The declaration of a miliatry coup in Turkey on Friday as well as the recent terrorist attack in France were factors confirming the projected negative performance this week; however, after conditions have changed in Turkey, a positive outlook is likely to be seen during the week, said global market analyst at Amana Capital Raed Al-Khedr.

Investors are forecasted to stay away from the tourism and logistic services sectors during their trading activities, as the recent global news would affect the markets negatively, according to the analyst.

Investors should be wary despite the expectations for indices to rise, as the Turkish conditions are still not clear, said head of investment research unit at KAMCO Raed Diab.
