Cairo – Mubasher: Marriott International is planning to implement three hotels in New El-Alamein City, president and managing director of Marriott Middle East and Africa Alex Kyriakidis said during his meeting with Egypt’s minister of housing, utilities, and urban development Mostafa Madbouli on Wednesday.
Marriott is working on expanding in North Coast due to the hotels' powerful existence in Cairo and the Red Sea, Kyriakidis added, expecting New El-Alamein City to attract a huge number of tourists from all over the world.
New El-Alamein City will be executed on 50,000-acre land, along the Mediterranean Sea, Madbouli said.
He added that this project would provide about 25,000 hotel rooms, in addition to global tourism resorts in New El-Alamein City.
On 11 September, the minister announced that the government will start implementing 15 towers in New El-Alamein City with investments worth EGP 300 million by the beginning of October.
