Masdar eyes investments in UAE, Egypt, Morocco

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi-based Masdar is studying possible opportunities to invest in the renewable energy sector in UAE, Egypt and Morocco, said the company’s CEO Ahmad Belhoul.

On the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi, he added that his company is seeking investment opportunities in North Africa and the GCC region as demand on renewable energy in Middle East is growing.

In a reply to a question on the estimated value of his company’s investment plans, Belhoul clarified that they have not identified the opportunities of interest yet, as they are still hunting for the right investments.
