Mubasher: McDonald's on Tuesday reported a rise in its third-quarter profits, while revenues were lower than expectations.
The fast-food restaurant chain achieved profits of $1.88 billion in Q3-17, versus $1.27 billion in Q3-16.
The American chain added that earnings per share matched analysts’ estimates and reached $1.76 in the period between July and September 2017.
Revenues retreated 10% to $5.755 billion in the three-month period ended September, compared to $6.42 billion in Q3-16.
Analysts were expecting revenues to decline at $5.753 billion.
McDonald's closed Monday’s trading session down 1.8% at $163.3.
