Riyadh – Mubasher: The board of the Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company (MedGulf) approved appointing Goetz Kuras as the company’s new CEO after obtaining the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) approval.
The new CEO will start his duties on 1 March 2021, according to a stock exchange statement on Sunday.
Kuras has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance field and a PhD in theoretical physics.
In December 2020, the board accepted the resignation of the company’s CEO, Tariq bin Abdullah Al Naeem, and delegated the chief operation officer (COO), Umar Al Mahmoud, to carry out the CEO duties until a new one is appointed.
