Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of trade and industry said on Saturday that a delegation of Mercedes-Benz Global will visit Egypt early 2017 to discuss the opportunities in the Egyptian market, according to a statement.
Tareq Qabil added that the Mercedes Benz’s management expressed their desire to increase investments and expand operations in Egypt, in light of the positive impacts of the economic reform programme, which is the main pillar to restore the confidence of international corporations, according to the minister.
The auto manufacturing strategy has been presented to the parliament, and it will help in developing the industry and pushing it forward in order to make Egypt a strategic center for the automotive industry, regionally and globally, the minister added.
The CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt Thomas Zorn said that his company is looking forward to open a new dialogue with the Egyptian government to pump more investments in the Egyptian market.
