MetLife suffers SAR 6.86m in Q1 losses

Riyadh – Mubasher: MetLife AIG ANB’s net losses increased 87% in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the same quarter in 2016.

Net losses reached SAR 6.86 million in Q1-17, compared to SAR 3.67 million in Q1-16.

The reported losses are attributable to the decline in underwriting results by SAR 1.6 million, despite a SAR 19.4 million increase in the value of underwriting expenses, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
