Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of public business sector, Ashraf El-Sharakawy said on Wednesday that the experimental operation of the Steigenberger Hotel El-Tahrir Cairo has begun.
Investments in the hotel, which is affiliated to the Egyptian General Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels (EGOTH)amount to EGP 250 million.
Project construction commenced in March 2013, the minister said.
He added that EGOTH signed a deal with the global German Steigenberger brand to manage and operate the four-star hotel in October 2014.
EGOTH targets a net profit of EGP 124 million in the current fiscal year, up 4% from last year.
