Minister: International community welcomes Egyptian bonds

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of finance said on Saturday that investors and international organisations are showing great interest in the international bonds that the Egyptian government is planning to issue in the upcoming period.

The international business community is following Egypt’s plans to return to the international bonds market by issuing bonds worth between $2.5 and 3 billion, said minister Amr Al-Garhy.

Egypt awaits the international monetary fund’s (IMF) approval on a loan agreement, which will boost the confidence in the government’s program and will provide the required finances to apply the economic reform policies, the minister indicated.
