Cairo – Mubasher: Misr Insurance has been awarded an EGP 24 billion tender launched recently by Etisalat Misr.
The bid will cover Etisalat’s assets, telecommunication towers, and voucher cards, in addition to covering the risks of political violence, head of the insurance sector at the state-run insurer Hossam El-Hefnawy said.
The insurance value to cover risks of political violence on the telecom company’s assets and towers stood at EGP 12 billion, he added.
Meanwhile, insurance on assets and liabilities against fire and theft risks, as well as machine malfunction, amounted to around to EGP 12 billion.
In January 2018, Misr Insurance won an EGP 4.25 billion insurance tender to cover the risks related to the fixed and movable assets for the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU).
