Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt’s budget deficit rose by 0.29% or EGP 200 million in July and August 2016, according to the ministry of finance (MoF).
The total budget deficit in the two months reached EGP 68.5 billion compared to EGP 68.3 billion in the same period last year, MoF said in a statement on Sunday.
During the two months, public revenues increased to EGP 46.7 billion from EGP 46.3 billion in 2015, however, expenditure also went up to EGP 114.5 billion compared to 110.4 in the same period last year.
