Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of housing, utilities and urban development, Mostafa Madbouli, said on Thursday that the initial phase of reserving 25,000 of the New Administrative Capital’s housing units will start after the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Madbouli added, during his tour to check the housing units, that finalising the project's forestation, flooring, and lamppost installation had started, and the internal units had been examined.
The project will be almost finalised, internally and externally, before the beginning of next year, he noted.
He affirmed that new housing units will be established soon for ministries’ employees, which will suit all workers in the government, and will be transferred to the new capital.
He announced that there will be, for the first time, a smart screen in each housing unit to provide residents with smart services.
The minister noted that the execution of the first residential district’s services will start including the Nile School, a hyper market, a sports club, a post office, and a police station.
Last week, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development (MoH) released an advertising campaign for selling the housing units.
