Dubai – Mubasher: Momin Group has announced inaugurating a plant to produce sunflower, canola, corn oils, and vegetable ghee, at the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), a DP World subsidiary, on Saturday.
The 10,000 square-metre unit will also process soya bean oil for the petrochemical sector.
Commenting on the opening, DP World’s CEO and chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem said that the food and petrochemical sectors are important sectors for Jafza.
“This new facility reinforces [Jafza’s] ability to provide a world class business environment for manufacturing facilities and industrial-scale production. Jafza is the preferred hub for companies looking to establish their operations across the MENA region,” bin Sulayem added.
DP World’s chairman also congratulated the UAE-based Momin Group for their new plant, stressing that they were a part of Jafza’s success.
Meanwhile, Momin Group CEO Abdul Wahid said that with the new unit includes the most up-to-date equipment, which will help his company meet customer and market demands.
The opening ceremony for Momin Group’s new plant at Jafza was attended by DP World managing director and CEO For the UAE Mohammed Al Muallem, Jafza’s head of sales Ebtesam Al Kaabi, Momin Group CEO Abdul Wahid, alongside other senior officials.
The Momin Group’s product range is diverse, varying from edible oil, industrial fats and lubricants to electronics, blades, and sugar.
