Riyadh – Mubasher: The money that Saudi Arabia would redeem from Saudi Arabian royals, ministers and businessmen involved in anti-corruption probe were not included in revenues of 2017 and 2018 budgets, Okaz newspaper reported on Thursday, citing a source at the Ministry of Finance as saying.
Retaking funds from the accused persons will take long time, especially as these amounts are not liquidated currently, while some of them are abroad the kigndom, the source added.
In November, the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree to form an anti-corruption committee, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to investigate corruption in the country.
The committee issued arrests of a number of current and former ministers and princes.
