Cairo – Mubasher: The consolidated financial statements of Misr Fertilizers Production Co (Mopco) showed a 27% year-on-year profit growth during the first nine months of 2019.
Net profits increased to EGP 1.25 billion in the January-September period, compared to EGP 988.16 million in the year-ago period, including minority shareholders’ rights, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Monday.
In the meantime, the company’s revenues rose to EGP 6.21 billion in the nine-month period ended 30 September from EGP 5.9 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
As for the third quarter of 2019, Mopco logged a net profit of EGP 315 million, up from EGP 307 million in Q3-18.
At the level of standalone financials for the January-September period, the EGX-listed firm reported a net profit of EGP 561.6 million, down by 40% from EGP 937.64 million in the same period of 2018.
It is noteworthy the unaudited financial results for the first half of 2019 showed a net profit of EGP 937.72 million, compared to EGP 680.89 million in H1-18.
