Cairo – Mubasher: Misr Fertilizers Production Co (Mopco) on Thursday reported a 44.6% year-on-year rise in standalone profits for the first nine months of 2018.
The company generated a net profit of EGP 937.63 million in the January-September period of this year, up from EGP 646.89 million in the prior-year period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Sales grew slightly to EGP 1.85 billion at the end of September, versus EGP 1.78 billion in the year-ago period.
Mopco previously posted a 16.5% year-on-year decline in standalone profits for the first half of 2018, recording EGP 629.02 million, compared to EGP 753.49 million.
Sales retreated to EGP 560.06 million in H1-18 from EGP 1.21 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
