Morocco’s budget deficit shrinks in 10 months

Mubasher: Morocco’s budget deficit narrowed by more than MAD 9.8 billion to nearly MAD 62.9 billion during the first 10 months of 2015, according to recent data released by ministry of economy and finance.

These figures were attributed to a decline in public expenditures by MAD 13.3 billion and in clearance expenditures by more than MAD 16 billion.

Public debts continued rising despite the recurrent warnings of national and international financial institutions against the rise of such debts.

The state’s domestic debts increased by 7.9% or nearly MAD 35.2 billion to MAD 478.5 billion, compared with the year-ago period. Meanwhile, the external debts decreased by 0.6%.
