Mubadala Petroleum appoints new CEO

UAE - Mubasher: Mubadala Petroleum, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), has named Mansoor Mohamed Al Hamed as the company's new CEO.

Al Hamed has succeeded Bakheet Al Katheeri, who recently occupied an executive leadership position in the newly formed UAE Investments platform of Mubadala, according to a press release on Wednesday.

With a 15-year experience in the oil and gas industry, Al Hamed was the Chief Growth Officer, who was responsible for all new business development and mergers and acquisitions activities.

The new CEO joined Mubadala Petroleum, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, in 2010. 

The CEO of UAE Investments at Mubadala Investment Company and Chairman of Mubadala Petroleum, Musabbeh Al Kaabi, said: "In his new role, and alongside the leadership team at Mubadala Petroleum, he [Al Hamed] will provide the continuity and focus needed to take the organisation forward amidst an evolving global energy landscape and the ongoing energy transition."
