Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: US deputy secretary of energy Dan Brouillette on Sunday said that the Department of Energy has been in talks with Mubadala to construct a mega energy storage in the Appalachian region in West Virginia.
The new project will be executed under the energy cooperation plan between the US and the UAE, Al-Ittihad newspaper reported, citing Brouillette as saying.
The deputy minister stated that he had not signed any deal during the Global Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi, noting that he had met several UAE’s ministries and top officials, Al-Ittihad reported.
No further information was provided on the value of the project.
