Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Strata Manufacturing, Mubadala Investment’s aero-structures manufacturing unit, has completed the development of Airbus A350-900 elongated Flap Support Fairings (eFSFs) modification for Societes Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aeronautiques (SABCA), a Belgian aerospace company.
The Abu Dhabi-based firm designed the new eFSFs for the optimisation of the aerodynamics and the reduction of fuel burn, according to a company statement.
“Strata has once again proven that purposeful collaboration and technological leadership propel us to greater heights and allow us to showcase our evolving manufacturing capabilities,” CEO of Strata Esmail Ali Abdullah commented.
In 2012, Strata was awarded SABCA contract to provide FSFs for the Airbus A350-900.
