Mubasher opens first stock trading account for visually-challenged person

Cairo – Mubasher: Mubasher International for Securities (MubasherTrade) has created the first account for a visually impaired person to trade in securities on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). 

Braille and voice techniques are used to enable people with disabilities to invest in the bourse, Ehab Rashad, Vice Chairperson of Mubasher Capital Holding for Financial Investments, said in a statement on Sunday. 

This came during the inauguration of Sunday's trading session by the Minister of Social Solidarity, Nivine El-Kabbag, and the EGX's Chairman, Mohamed Farid, in celebration of the first visually impaired person investing in the EGX. 

Farid noted that the financial inclusion of people with disabilities in the economic sector necessitates streamlining procedures and making them accessible for everyone. 

He added that efforts will be made in the upcoming period to encourage brokerage firms to make trading accessible for people with disabilities.
