Mubasher: Muscat Airport’s passenger traffic grew 16% in October to 8.46 million, compared with 7.3 million in the same month of 2014, according to statistics of the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
The number of arrivals reached 4.27 million until October this year, an increase of 17% over 3.66 million in the same period last year.
The number of departing passengers has also increased by 15% year-on-year from 3.6 million to 4.16 million.
The increase in arrivals and departures is attributed to more number of flights operated by airlines such as Kuwait Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and Oman Air.
