Mubasher: Oman’s MSM 30 index fell at Monday’s close by 0.11% or 6.24 points to the level of 5,458.45 points.
Trading volume decreased to 6.63 million shares from 7.05 million shares exchanged on Sunday, whereas turnover stood at OMR 1.14 million.
The financial sector dropped 0.08%, as Gulf Investment Services Holding, down 1.87%, was the top loser, and Bank Muscat shrank 0.49%, while Oman Takaful led the green list by adding 9.09% and Al Madina Takaful grew by 2.74%.
The services sector declined 0.05% due to a 0.62% decrease in Ooredoo Oman.
On the other hand, the industrial sector rose alone by 0.01%, backed by a 1.06% rise in Galfar Engineering.
Bank Muscat was the most active stock in terms of turnover with OMR 150,780, while Al Madina Takaful was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.62 million shares.
