Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Sunday’s session on a positive note as its benchmark MSM 30 index rose by 0.05% or 2.55 points to the level of 5,464.69 points.
Trading volume increased to 7.05 million shares from 6.78 million shares exchanged on Thursday, while turnover decreased to OMR 1.14 million from OMR 1.71 million.
The financial sector grew 0.35%, backed by a rise of 7.47% in Takaful Oman Insurance today’s best performing stock, and 3.18% in National Bank of Oman.
The industrial sector leapt by 0.02% due to a 3.57% in Construction Material Industry.
On the other hand, the services sector shrank 0.27% as Sembcorp Salalah topped losers after falling by 4.08%.
Bank Nizwa made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.46 million shares exchanged at OMR 191,930.
