Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Wednesday’s session in the red zone as its benchmark index declined by 0.03% or 1.96 point to the level of 5,750.15 points.
Trading volume increase to 18.92 million shares from 7.48 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to OMR 4.51 million from OMR 1.4 million.
The bourse’s sectors rose collectively, led by the industrial sector with a growth of 0.15%, backed by the increase in National Aluminum Products and Al Jazeera Steel by 0.98% and 0.87% respectively.
The financial sector leapt 0.07% as Gulf Investment Services Holding rose 1.72% and Oman and Emirates Investment Holding grew 1.48%. The latter made the biggest trading volume activity of 4.37 million shares, while Bank Muscat made the highest liquidity of OMR 1.17 million.
The services sector rose 0.02% as Port Services Corp advanced 10%.
