Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market closed Wednesday’s trading with a decrease of 0.03% or 1.54 point to the level of 5,764.96 points.
Trading volume increased to 26.2 million shares from 20.85 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to OMR 5.06 million from OMR 3.15 million.
The industrial sector fell alone by 0.06% as Galfar Engineering, down 2.225, topped the red list.
On the other hand, the financial and services sectors rose 0.38% and 0.16% respectively.
Al Madina Investment, up 8.33%, was the best performing stock.
Al Madina Takaful made the biggest trading volume activity with 4.71 million shares, whereas Omantel made the highest turnover of OMR 575,500.
