Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Sunday’s trading in red as its benchmark MSM 30 index fell 0.01% or 0.38 point to the level of 2,728.27 points.
Trading volume decreased to 6.79 million shares from 12.7 million shares exchanged on Thursday, turnover also shrank to OMR 1.44 million from OMR 2.67 million.
The services sector declined 0.14% as Sohar Power, down 4.2% was the worst performing stock and Ooredoo Oman fell 0.6%.
On the other hand, the financial and industrial sectors rose 0.33% and 0.01% respectively. HSBC Oman, up 1.7%, topped the green list.
Oman and Emirates Investment was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.12 million shares, while Bank Muscat made the highest turnover of OMR 323,590.
