Muscat bourse edges down 0.09%
Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market ended Thursday in the red zone as the main index declined 0.09% to 5777.66 points on the fall of most blue-chip stocks and the industrial sector.
The fall of blue-chip stocks was headed by Renaissance Services (-4.8%) and Oman Cables (-4.21%). Meanwhile, the main index’s top gainer was Al Ahli Bank with a rise of 2.72%.
The performance of the industrial sector battered the benchmark index after falling 0.5%.
Meanwhile, the financial and services sectors achieved gains with a rise of 0.05% and 0.03% respectively.
Trading value reached 11.8 million shares against 9.15 million shares on Wednesday, while the market’s turnover rose to OMR 3.45 million from OMR 2.16 million a session earlier.
