Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of the Muscat Securities Market fell in Tuesday’s close by 0.33% or 18.76 points to the level of 5,748.61 points.
The fall was due to the decline in most of blue chips as Al Sharqiya Investment Holding topped losers with a fall of 3.85%, Gulf Investment Services Holding fell 3.36% and Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles shrank 2.43%.
Trading volume rose 150.89 million shares from 9.69 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also increased from OMR 19.45 million to OMR 1.93 million.
The industrial, services and financial sectors declined collectively by 0.36%, 0.29% and 0.25% respectively.
HSBC Oman topped the green list by adding 1.01%.
Phoenix Power led the trading activity with a volume of 142.61 million shares exchanged at OMR 17.83 million.
