Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of the Muscat Securities Market ended Sunday’s session rising by 0.45% or 24.99 points to the level of 5,521.03 points.
Trading volume increased to 8.98 million shares from 8.39 million shares exchanged on Thursday, while turnover declined to OMR 1.65 million from OMR 1.74 million.
The index was backed by a growth of 5.59% in Al Anwar Ceramic and 2.7% in Gulf Investment Services.
The financial sector advanced 0.8% as National Bank of Oman advanced 3.07% and Al Anwar Holdings leapt 2.37%. The latter made the biggest trading activity with a volume of 1.57 million shares exchanged at OMR 271,890.
The services sector rose 0.25%, backed by the growth in Al Jazeira Services and Renascence Services by 4.81% and 1.81% respectively.
The industrial sector levelled up 0.15% as Al Hassan Engineering, up 7.02%, led the green list, while Al Jazeera Steel Products, down 2.2%, was the worst performer.
