Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market closed Sunday’s trading at the level of 5,692.36 points after rising by 1.47% or 82.39 points, compared to Thursday’s closing level.
Trading volume increased to 40.2 million shares from 17.3 million shares exchanged on Thursday, turnover also rose to OMR 7.96 million from OMR 2.86 million.
The financial sector grew 2.55% as Bank Dhofar led the green list by adding 8.74% and Bank Nizwa leapt 5.06%.
The industrial sector advanced 0.011%, backed by an increase of 1.59% in Oman Fisheries and 0.95% in Galfar Engineering.
The services sector rose 0.01% as Ooredoo Oman grew 1.19%, while Renaissance Services topped losers with a fall of 1.43%.
