Muscat bourse loses 20.65 pts at close

Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Thursday’s session on a negative note as its benchmark MSM 30 declined by 0.36% or 20.65 points to the level of 5,714.3 points.

Trading volume reached 7.77 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.53 million through 472 transactions.

The index dragged by a collective fall in the market’s sectors as the industrial,  services and financial sectors retreated by 0.38%, 0.36% and 0.15% respectively.

National Aluminum Products topped losers after shrinking by 3.77%, while Bank Nizwa led the green list by adding 1.33%.

Bank Muscat made the highest liquidity of OMR 267,270 through exchanging 727,250 shares. The stock stood at OMR 0.380.

Al Izz Islamic Bank made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.12 million shares exchanged at OMR 72,810. The stock stood at OMR 0.065.
