Trading volume reached 4.25 million shares exchanged by 10:30am Muscat time through 82 transactions, making a turnover of OMR 771,300.
The services sector rose 0.26%, backed by an increase of 10% in Port Services Corp, the best performing stock.
The financial sector grew 0.18% as National Bank of Oman advanced 1.28%, while Al Sharqiya Investment led decliners after falling by 1.43%.
Phoenix Power led the trading activity with a volume of 3.42 million shares exchanged at OMR 513,200.
