Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market initiated Thursday on a lower note as the benchmark index inched down 0.01% to 5782.52 points by 10:40am Oman time.
Trading volume reached 1.13 million shares traded in 32 transactions at OMR 237,300.
The industrial sector came in the red zone with a slide of 0.07% on three major stocks led by Voltamp Energy (-0.44%).
Meanwhile, the financial and services sectors steadied at their previous levels.
In terms of volume, Bank Nizwa came first with 726,500 shares, while Oman Cement achieved the highest turnover, OMR 75,000.
