Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market ended Tuesday’s session rising by 0.04% or 2.44 points to the level of 5,583.55 points.
Trading volume decreased to 20.84 million shares from 47.52 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also shrank to OMR 4.05 million from OMR 6.54 million.
The industrial sector grew 0.75% as Galfar Engineering topped gainers by adding 4.35% and Al Anwar Ceramics grew 2.48%.
The financial sector leapt 0.24% due to an increase of 2.7% in HSBC Oman and 0.7% in Bank Sohar. The latter made the highest trading activity with a volume of 8.05 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.15 million.
The services sector fell alone by 0.4% as Al Suwadi Power led decliners with a 3.55% decrease.
